Alto Reno Terme<\/strong> is a small town of about 6000 inhabitants in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, right on the border between the Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. The history, traditions and millenary thermal culture make it an ideal destination for those who want to enjoy the many aspects of nature and an excellent starting point for suggestive itineraries between lakes and mountains, for long walks between small villages and for beautiful excursions in the green.<\/p>\n

Alto Reno Terme and its territory offer numerous excursion opportunities, each with different purposes. There are, in fact, itineraries for nature lovers, on foot or by bicycle, with different degrees of difficulty and accessible even to beginners in trekking or to “quiet walkers”; itineraries with a cultural and artistic vocation, towards small medieval villages, strongholds and castles; good for the entertainment of families with children.<\/p>\n

Porretta Terme<\/strong> is the emblematic center of the territory of Alto Reno Terme, with its beautiful historic center located along Rio Maggiore, the local stream. Surrounded by a hilly and green environment, Porretta Terme gives the privilege of a holiday away from mass tourism, thanks to its thermal baths, which boast more than 2000 years of history and that were already known at the time of the Romans, with their thermal sulfurous salso-bromoiodic waters<\/p>\n

The historic center of Terme di Porretta<\/strong> is rich in historical evidence, in particular the splendid parish church of Santa Maria Maddalena, and offers a cultural journey of interest through its network of Libraries Archives and Museums that perfectly combine the well-being of the thermal waters with cultural interests.<\/p>\n

TYPOGRAPHY MUSEUM<\/h3>\n

The Typography Museum of Porretta Terme was founded in July 2015 by Dante Pisi, collecting materials and machines dedicated to the world of printing with passion, honesty and extreme professionalism, so as to create a real museum.<\/p>\n

The museum collects many Italian and non-Italian machines, from the nineteenth century onwards, through which it is possible to reconstruct the main processing stages of this fascinating art. The Printing Museum is a cultural heritage not only of Porretta but universal to be preserved and enhanced for the benefit of the whole community. An evocative journey through the history of printing, from the invention of the first machines to the present day.<\/p>\n

It is possible to visit the museum on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 15.30 to 18.00.<\/em><\/p>\n

DEMM MUSEUM<\/h3>\n

The museum owes its birth to Giuliano Mazzini and his son Mos\u00e8, that since 1985 have begun a long and meticulous research, recovery, restoration and enhancement of the documents, prototypes and models related to the legendary production of motorcycles and mopeds of the historic DEMM company.<\/p>\n

Inside the museum unique pieces will be visible, such as the notorious “torpedo” which in 1956 conquered 24 world records on the Monza circuit and other sport bikes that allowed DEMM to excel in the Italian mountain championships in the years 1961 -62-63.<\/p>\n

The DEMM Museum can be visited by reservation.<\/p>\n
